New Study Shows That Millions of Americans Are Not Screened for Colorectal Cancer

A study published today in the American Gastroenterological Association journal Gastroenterology shows
that over 41 million Americans who are candidates for colorectal cancer screening have not been screened.
The study reveals that all 41 million people could be screened within 1 year using fecal occult blood testing.

Combination Therapy Shown to Extend Survival in Patients With Colorectal Cancer

The combination of bevacizumab (Avastin™) plus an oxaliplatin chemotherapy regimen extends survival in patients
with advanced colorectal cancer, according to results of a large clinical trial. Before receiving the combination
therapy, the patients in the study had previously undergone one chemotherapy regimen that had failed.
