Understanding Results
Once you've provided your stool sample, your doctor or nurse will test your sample with the Clearview ULTRA FOB Test.
He or she will insert a dipstick into the sample collection bottle you provided. Within 5 minutes, the dipstick will
show the results of your test. If a blue line appears in a certain region on the dipstick, your results are positive,
meaning that blood is detected in your stool. If no line appears, your results are negative. Some positive results
appear in as little as 1 minute.
If your results are positive, your doctor or nurse will most likely suggest additional testing that will help to pinpoint
why there is blood in your stool. Keep in mind that there are many reasons why you could have blood in your stool and that
a positive result does not necessarily mean that you have colorectal cancer. Make sure that you talk to your doctor about
any questions you have about your results.
