CRC Prevention
Here are some ways patients can reduce their risk of developing colorectal cancer (CRC)1:
- Follow the American Cancer Society screening guidelines.
Early detection of polyps and cancers can result in early treatment, which can save lives
- Limit high-fat foods
- Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole-grain foods
- Exercise regularly (at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week)
For people with a family history of CRC, the most important step to take may be earlier and more frequent
screening.
